Ms. Kati Karvinen launched the AnnKai fashion store and webshop on Unioninkatu 32<\/span>, Helsinki in summer 2019. With her own style and insight she is following the footsteps of her mother, the famous and awarded textile artist Annikki Karvinen.\u00a0 The bright and beautiful store interior is pure white, so that the colorful clothes can stand out in the best possible way.<\/p>\n

The name of the store, AnnKai, dates back to Kati\u00b4s childhood in Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, central Finland. Kati\u00b4s full first name is Anna-Katri.\u00a0 Her father lovingly invented a shorter version of that and that\u00b4s how AnnKai was created, as a cuddly nickname.\u00a0 Kati wanted to honor the memory of her late father by naming the store after his play with words.\u00a0 Kati is permanently living in Hamburg, Germany, where she has had her own store already for over two decades.\u00a0 She also has a second store in Keitum, Sylt, which is a well-known holiday island on the Northern coast of Germany.<\/p>\n

Kati Karvinen offers a fashion option for women who value individual style<\/h3>\n

AnnKai store presents a wide selection of clothes, accessories and jewerly for women who value individual style.\u00a0 The sets are small emphasizing unique style.\u00a0 Colors and especially bright and strong basic colors play an important role in Kati Karvinen\u00b4s design.\u00a0 The Karvinen collection has always been known for strong colors; in her long career,Annikki Karvinen was a pioneer in using and creating bold color combinations in her designs.<\/p>\n

Kati\u00b4s style is graphic and clear.\u00a0 The corner stones of her design are stripes, clear prints and timeless patterns. For her, it is very important that all the pieces in her collections are easy and comfortable to wear<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Timeless and high-quality clothing<\/h3>\n

The timeless designs are almost always made of high-quality natural fibers which are easy to clean, The products are, as far as possible, wearable during all year. Strong colors and bold femininity are hallmarks of Kati\u00b4s designs, combined with love for Finnish nature and changing seasons.<\/p>\n

Sustainability<\/strong> is a strong value in all operations, from choosing the fabrics to sewing the garments. Business partners and suppliers are small entrepreneurs and many are family businesses with long traditions. Fabrics are mostly bought from European manufacturers.\u00a0 KARVINEN brand clothing is designed in Finland and produced in Tallinn, Estonia. The KARVINEN knitwear collection is made in Finland by a local knitwear manufacturer.<\/p>\n

The KARVINEN-collection covers about 50 percent of the store\u00b4s selection.\u00a0 The other half consists of small, exciting European brands which clearly differ from mainstreet presentation.
